2000 AD Prog 1517

Judge Dredd / Origins (part 13)

Mega-City One, 2130 AD. This vast urban nightmare on the east coast of post-apocalyptic North America is home to 400 million citizens, every one a potential criminal. With lawlessness rife, only the Judges can prevent total anarchy. These future lawmen are judge, jury and executioner. Toughest of them all is Judge Dredd - he is the law!

Chiaroscuro / Chiaroscuro (part 11)

London, 2006. Anthony Elvy is a film journalist growing tired with the ego-massaging circus that pervades the movie business. The son of a once-famous film director, Elvy's formative years were spent on soundstages, to the extent where he makes a point of avoiding on-set interviews, sick of the fake sincerity that surrounds him. But even he can't resist a scoop about a missing and supposed cursed horror movie...

The Red Seas / With a bound he was free... (part 5)

1775. Captain Jack Dancer and his motley crew were one of the most infamous band of pirates sailing the southern seas. But wanted by the British Navy and exiled from their home on New Providence Island, they sought adventure elsewhere...

Sinister Dexter / Pros and Cons (part 4)

The swollen city of Downlode lies sprawled across the heart of future Europe like a hit-and-run victim. Here, life is cheap - if you want someone whacked, you can't buy better bullet monkeys than Finnigan SINISTER and Ramone DEXTER, the city's primo hitmen. Inspired by John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction.
Artist Jason Brashill declined the chance to co-create Sinister Dexter but he did paint the cover image to promote the characters' first appearance in Prog 981. Sinister is Latin for left, while Dexter is Latin for right.

Future Shorts / Bar Flies (part 1)

Short and snappy one-page tales where nothing is what it seems!

Droid Life / Quickie Lazy Crappy Jokey (part 1)

Comical tales from the Nerve Centre sub-basement as Tharg's minions put together the Galaxy's Greatest Comic.
